DETROIT, Mich. — A new Chick-fil-A on the north edge of Detroit is staffing up. The restaurant, named Chick-fil-A 8 Mile & Woodward, plans to bring on about 100 full- and part-time workers before it opens this fall.

The store sits at 1201 W. Eight Mile Road. The chain has not set an opening day, and its own listing for the site still shows the location as coming soon. The company said opening dates and other details will be released in the coming weeks.

The Detroit store will be run by a local franchise operator who grew up in the city. A second new restaurant, at Great Lakes Crossing in Orion Township, is also hiring about 100 people, for roughly 200 jobs across the two sites.
