DETROIT, Mich. — Commuters in Detroit, Mich., may run into patchy fog early Monday, Oct. 26, before skies turn partly sunny and the afternoon tops out in the mid-60s.

The National Weather Service expects the fog to clear before 10 a.m., with a high near 67 and a north-northwest breeze. Clouds fill in tonight and the low drops to around 45.

A weak cold front slides through Monday night into Tuesday, holding Tuesday to a high near 62. The cooldown does not last. Wednesday climbs to about 70, and Thursday looks like the warmest day of the week under mostly sunny skies with a high near 74.

Rain remains scarce. The only mention in the forecast is a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday, and most of the area is expected to stay dry. The last measurable rain at Detroit Metro Airport fell more than a week ago, and most of southeastern Michigan is now rated abnormally dry on the drought monitor.

That dry spell is worth remembering with Halloween decorations out. Friday and Saturday stay partly sunny in the upper 60s, with another chance of rain arriving late Saturday night.
