DETROIT, Mich. — The Detroit Red Wings head south to face the Florida Panthers on Monday night, the first time the two Atlantic Division rivals have met this season.

Detroit comes in at 6-5-3 and has collected points in eight of its last 10 games, going 5-2-3 in that stretch while giving up 2.7 goals a night. Florida is 8-4-2 and takes a three-game winning streak into the night.

Alex DeBrincat leads the Red Wings with six goals and nine assists. Over the last 10 games, Viktor Arvidsson has piled up 10 points, split evenly between goals and assists. For Florida, Matthew Tkachuk has four goals and 16 assists.

Detroit added depth up front by calling up forward John Leonard from the Grand Rapids Griffins. The 28-year-old had five goals and two assists in six games with the AHL club this fall and was a Second Team AHL All-Star last season after leading the Griffins with 33 goals.

The Red Wings will be without Albert Johansson, Mason Appleton and Marco Kasper. Florida is missing Aleksander Barkov, Brad Marchand and goaltender Jacob Markstrom.
