DETROIT, Mich. — The Detroit Lions knocked the Minnesota Vikings from the ranks of the unbeaten on Sunday, winning 19-15 on a fourth-quarter scoring strike from Jared Goff to Jameson Williams.

The go-ahead play covered 7 yards with 4:35 remaining. Minnesota then went three-and-out, and the Lions ran out the clock on the ground. Detroit piled up 164 of its 230 rushing yards after halftime against a defense that had been allowing fewer than 100 per game.

Jahmyr Gibbs struggled early but finished with 153 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Goff completed 18 of 25 passes for 176 yards and was intercepted for the first time this season, and he was sacked four times.

Jake Bates kicked field goals of 25 and 37 yards in the first half, while cornerback D.J. Reed made a diving interception before the break. Taunting flags on Amon-Ra St. Brown and Williams slowed the first two drives.

The win was tempered by an injury to linebacker Jack Campbell, who was taken to a hospital for evaluation of a neck injury early in the fourth quarter. Detroit is now 5-2 with three straight wins, while Minnesota fell to 6-1.
