The No BBQ Festival will kick off the festivities, featuring barbecue cuisine from over 20 acclaimed pitmasters. This festival will also include bourbon tasting, a marketplace with various vendors, games, and family-friendly fun. Live music will grace the two stages, offering genres from blues to classic rock and soul. The event will be held at the following times: Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday through Sunday from noon to 10 p.m., and Monday from noon to 8 p.m. Tickets are available for $7 in advance, $10 at the door, and $20 for a four-pack purchased online.

Meanwhile, the Kensington Metropark Art Fair is set to showcase more than 100 artists, featuring works in various mediums including painting, sculpture, jewelry, and photography. This year’s highlight will be a striking 10-ton sand sculpture. Additionally, visitors can enjoy kids’ activities, food trucks, and live music during the fair. The art fair will run on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free for those with a Metropark pass.

The Movement Electronic Music Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary with renowned headliners including Jeff Mills, Charlotte de Witte, and John Summit. Spanning from Saturday to Monday, attendees can secure single-day tickets starting at $205.66.

Ford Field will host The Weeknd on Saturday and Sunday as part of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour, with Playboi Carti providing the opening act. Concerts are scheduled to start at 7 p.m., with tickets available starting at $47.70.

On Saturday evening at 8 p.m., the Crunkfest Takeover at the Fox Theatre will feature notable artists such as Lil Jon, E-40, and Uncle Luke. Tickets for this vibrant affair are priced at $98.80.

The Motown Museum will honor its founder, Esther Gordy Edwards, on Sunday with a special celebration. The event will include performances from the famed Four Tops and feature various community vendors, with free admission from noon to 5 p.m.

Also on Sunday, the Detroit Diaspora Day Fest will take place, offering a blend of music, art exhibits, and a marketplace from noon to midnight. Tickets for this twelve-hour event start at $17.85.

On Memorial Day, an additional solemn event will occur with the 94th annual WWI Polar Bear Memorial Service, which pays tribute to Michigan’s Polar Bears with a ceremony at 11 a.m. Various communities will also host Memorial Day parades, such as the 99th Dearborn Memorial Day Parade at 9:30 a.m., while St. Clair Shores will have its parade at 1 p.m. The Hazel Park Memorial Day Festival will celebrate with a carnival throughout the weekend, culminating in a parade on Monday at 10 a.m.
