Donald Curry Campion III passed away on September 19, 2025. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia, MI. Friends and family are also invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Doris Evelyn Fisher passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the remarkable age of 99. Born on May 5, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the beloved wife of the late Harry Fisher, with whom she was married in Spring 1944. Doris was a nurturing mother to Barbara, married to Dale Seal, and Ken, married to Diana Fisher. She also took great pride in her roles as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Doris is survived by her sister Edna Adams and several nieces, although she mourns the loss of her late nephew, Donald Adams. A former Sales Associate at JL Hudson, Doris was appreciated for her warmth and commitment to her work. She was deeply involved with Union Lake Baptist Church, where she found joy and solace in her faith. Known for her love of gardening, Doris nurtured both plants and the people in her life. Her funeral service is set for 11:00 AM on August 28, 2025, at Union Lake Baptist Church, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Following the service, she will be interred at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia. Friends wishing to honor Doris may make memorial contributions to Union Lake Baptist Church.
In addition to these local residents, the community was saddened by the news of James Raymond Skiver, age 81, from Venice, Florida, who lost his life following a traffic crash on September 4, 2025. Skiver was a passenger in a Mitsubishi Outlander driven by his 73-year-old wife when the vehicle collided with an Acura RDX at the intersection of M-5 and 14 Mile Road. Witnesses reported that the Acura had a green light at the time of the accident. All occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts, and authorities confirm that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Both Skiver and the other occupants were transported to an area hospital; however, Skiver’s condition deteriorated during his hospitalization. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
