According to police reports, the victim, a 60-year-old man, was approached by the suspect who asked him for money. When the victim refused to give money to the suspect, the situation escalated. The suspect entered the liquor store, procured a bottle, and returned to the victim, allegedly striking him with the bottle during the assault.
After the initial attack, the suspect reportedly attempted to hit the victim again with a blunt object but was unsuccessful. Fortunately, the victim managed to flee the scene and sought help by calling law enforcement from a different location. While the victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault, he opted not to receive medical treatment.
