Detroit – The highly anticipated Detroit Iron Chef II culinary competition is set to take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Eastern Market Shed 5, located at 2810 Russell Street, Detroit. This exciting event features two acclaimed local chefs who will go head-to-head in a culinary battle, all while benefiting a local nonprofit organization, Cass Community Social Services.

Returning champion Chef Anthony Lombardo will compete against Chef Andy Hollyday from Selden Standard. The culinary duel will consist of three courses: an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. Similar to the previous year, a secret ingredient will be unveiled during the event to challenge the chefs’ creativity and skills in the kitchen.

The event is co-hosted by Tatie Amare and Kim DeGiulio, who are well-known for their role on the local show “Live in the D.” The audience can also look forward to commentary from Carlos Parisi, a notable entrepreneur, TV host, and food influencer, enhancing the overall experience.

As part of the competition, each cooking round will last between 20 to 30 minutes, with judges providing commentary after each course. Notably, a guest judge will be chosen from the audience for each dish, allowing attendees to actively participate in the event.

Tickets for the Detroit Iron Chef II are priced at $50 each, with special packages available for groups of 4 or 8. Last year’s event attracted over 400 attendees, marking it as a popular gathering within the community.

The proceeds from this year’s event will go directly to Cass Community Social Services, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources and support to individuals in need. By participating in the Detroit Iron Chef II, attendees not only enjoy an evening of culinary delights but also contribute to important local food initiatives and community services.

The competition is expected to foster a communal spirit, bringing together food lovers from all over Detroit and beyond. Last year’s competition was well-received, highlighting the local culinary talent and the importance of supporting community-driven initiatives.

Guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets through the official event website, ensuring their place at this exciting culinary showdown.
