According to the same BDO survey, a significant 81% of tech CFOs express concerns about cyber and data privacy risks by 2025. In response, many Detroit tech firms are taking proactive steps by adopting international measures, including Standard Contractual Clauses and Binding Corporate Rules, with 64% planning to implement these tools by the same year. In addition, 53% of firms are investing in local or hybrid data storage solutions to enhance resilience against potential cyberattacks or disasters.
Despite the ambitious digital direction, only 41% of tech CFOs plan to bolster their cybersecurity measures with internal expertise. This statistic underscores the pressing need for Detroit’s firms to prioritize talent development in the cybersecurity domain.
