Detroit will host the free Good Stuff Social Club event on Saturday, August 9, organized by Marshalls at BasBlue, a community hub dedicated to empowering women. The event, running from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., aims to inspire women entrepreneurs by providing resources and networking opportunities designed to turn aspirations into reality.
This initiative is part of Marshalls’ ongoing commitment to support women in business, having previously held similar events in cities like New York, Atlanta, Chicago, and Houston. The Detroit edition promises a local flair, featuring goodie bags, Marshalls gift cards, and food catered by a women-owned business.
To kick off the day, participants will hear from Vivian Tu, the CEO of Your Rich BFF, who will lead a session focused on recovering from financial setbacks. Following this, attendees can engage with a panel moderated by local artist Meagan Ward, featuring speakers Destinee Rose, Bo Shepherd, and Rachelle Baker, who will discuss how businesses can be rooted in creativity and identity.
To enhance networking, the event will include a speed networking session accompanied by music from DJ Rimarkable. Participants can also partake in collage art activities designed to build confidence and one-on-one color analysis sessions that allow for personal exploration and growth.
Sessions at the Good Stuff Social Club are limited in availability, and interested attendees are encouraged to sign up at MarshallsGoodStuffSocialClub.com. The event is tailored to women looking to reinforce their financial knowledge, monetize their artistic endeavors, or simply connect with like-minded individuals.
Additionally, AJ Williams, a spiritual and wellness educator, and managing editor at Michigan Chronicle, will be among the featured speakers, contributing to the enriched experience for participants.
The focus of the Good Stuff Social Club event is to foster a supportive community among women entrepreneurs, providing them with the tools and connections necessary to thrive in their respective fields. Through expert-led sessions, networking opportunities, and creative workshops, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between aspirations and achievements.
Marshalls encourages women of all backgrounds, whether they’re just starting their journey or looking to elevate their existing businesses, to participate in this empowering event. By creating an inclusive environment that celebrates creativity and individuality, Marshalls hopes to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
