DETROIT, Mich. — PWHL Detroit unveiled its home and away jerseys Wednesday, Oct. 8, as the Professional Women’s Hockey League expansion club prepares for its inaugural 2026-27 season in Detroit, Mich.

Following league tradition for debut seasons, the inaugural sweaters feature DETROIT stitched diagonally across the front. Team names and logos for the expansion club will be revealed before the campaign begins and are expected on uniforms for 2027-28.

The black home jersey uses silver metallic accents meant to reflect the city’s automotive history and industrial identity. The color trio of white, silver and red stripes are a callback to Detroit’s 313 area code, with red also citing Hockeytown’s long stewardship of the sport. Ally Financial is the exclusive jersey patch partner.

PWHL Detroit opens Dec. 6 in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET. The home opener is Dec. 12 against New York at noon ET at Little Caesars Arena. Replica black home jerseys are set for sale in the week leading up to Opening Weekend Dec. 5-6, with name-and-number T-shirts already available online and at the arena.

Forward Hilary Knight said the jersey feels like Detroit — bold, tough and built with purpose — and that the roster has a chance to build an identity fans can rally behind. Little Caesars Arena at 2645 Woodward Ave anchors downtown sports nights for the new club’s home dates.

Jerseys include black and white for home and away, along with a red, silver and white stripe at the bottom. Bauer produces the sweaters as the league’s official jersey partner.
