DETROIT, Mich. — The Red Wings close a two-game homestand in Detroit on Saturday afternoon when St. Louis visits Little Caesars Arena, with puck drop set for 1 p.m. as part of the team’s Hockeytown Halloween day.
Detroit has won two in a row and sits at 6-4-3 after a 4-1 home win over Chicago on Thursday. Viktor Arvidsson scored three times and added an assist, tying his career best with four points, and John Gibson made 18 saves. The Red Wings have five comeback wins this season, tied for the most in the league.
The game will be played without Dylan Larkin. The club suspended the forward without pay Thursday after his agent told interim general manager Shawn Horcoff that Larkin would not report while he awaits a trade. Defenseman Simon Edvinsson remains unsigned and must agree to a deal by Dec. 1 or sit out the season.
St. Louis arrives on a high note. The Blues beat Boston 4-1 on Thursday to finish a five-game homestand 3-2, and Saturday opens a four-game road trip. Detroit swept both meetings last season, outscoring the Blues 11-6.
