Canton, Mich. — Nordstrom Rack plans to open a new store in Canton Township on Oct. 29, expanding the off-price chain footprint in the Detroit market.
The 35,000-square-foot store will be at New Towne Plaza, located at 44740 Ford Road, in Canton Township, Wayne County. The new Canton location joins five other Nordstrom Rack stores and two Nordstrom stores in Michigan.
Nordstrom Rack President Gemma Lionello said the company looks forward to being a part of the Canton community and serving customers with great brands at great prices. She said the company is excited to grow our footprint in the Detroit market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.
Shoppers will be able to take advantage of convenient services such as online order pick up from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, and they can make returns easily. The store typically offers customers up to 70 percent off on on-trend apparel and accessories, plus beauty products, home decor and shoes.
A national October schedule lists at least 19 Nordstrom Rack stores slated to open that month, including the Canton store among planned openings. Available reporting describes a scheduled opening, not a store that has already opened, and does not list staffing figures for the Canton site.
