STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. — A second man now faces a murder charge in the Oct. 7 shooting death of Randy Abro, 41, of Utica, at a business plaza near 15 Mile and Mound roads in Sterling Heights.
Jerome Charles Eursher, 31, of Solon, Ohio, went before a magistrate Wednesday in 41-A District Court, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office said. He is charged with murder, a felony firearm count and carrying a concealed weapon. His bond was set at $4 million, and he must wear a GPS tether if he is released.
Eursher surrendered to the Sterling Heights Police Department on Tuesday, according to authorities.
Kenneth Hollins Morgan, 41, was arrested Oct. 16 and arraigned Monday on murder and weapons charges. He is held on a $2 million bond and is charged as a habitual offender.
Officers who answered a report of shots fired found Abro dead at the scene. Police credited license plate reader cameras with helping the investigation but released no motive.
Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said his office will pursue accountability for the victim and his family. Both men are due back in court Nov. 2 for a probable cause conference.
