DETROIT, Mich. — Detroit is in line for one more warm run before November arrives. The National Weather Service calls for partly sunny skies and a high near 62 today, then highs near 70 on Wednesday and near 75 on Thursday.
Mornings could start murky. Forecasters expect patchy fog tonight, with a low around 50, and again before 9 a.m. Wednesday. Thursday turns breezy, with southwest wind gusts as high as 23 mph.
High pressure is keeping the region quiet, and the next chance of rain comes Thursday night into Friday with a weak cold front. That front is not expected to bring much rain to the metro area.
Halloween looks friendly for trick-or-treaters. Saturday stays mostly cloudy with a high near 66, and the better shot at rain waits until after 2 a.m. Sunday, lingering into Monday.
Clocks also fall back one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, when daylight saving time ends, so darkness will come about an hour earlier each evening.
