DETROIT, Mich. — Three women from Detroit were killed early Sunday when their car ran off the southbound Lodge Freeway, also known as M-10, near Wyoming Avenue and slammed into a concrete barrier, Michigan State Police said.

Troopers were sent to the scene at about 2 a.m. on Nov. 1. Investigators said the driver did not make a curve, and the car left the roadway, climbed an embankment, pushed through shrubs and went airborne.

It came down on the ramp that carries traffic from Wyoming Avenue onto southbound M-10 before hitting the barrier, and none of the three women inside survived.
