DETROIT, Mich. — Drivers heading downtown Sunday morning, including Lions fans bound for Ford Field, will find southbound I-75 through downtown Detroit still shut between I-375 and M-10 until 11 a.m. while Michigan Department of Transportation crews finish a weekend paving job.
Several ramps feeding that stretch are closed for the same work until 11 a.m.: northbound I-375 to southbound I-75, southbound Gratiot to southbound I-75, and the I-75 ramps in both directions to northbound M-10. The Grand River ramp to northbound M-10 is also closed until then.
The Lodge has its own trouble spot. Crews repairing an overpass have northbound M-10 shut at Forest Avenue until Monday at 5 a.m. Heading the other way, the two left lanes of southbound M-10 from Howard Street to Jefferson Avenue remain blocked for the rest of October.
Longer projects continue east of downtown. Utility crews have lanes blocked on the Gratiot Connector between I-75 and Russell Street and on Gratiot itself as far as St. Aubin through November. Paving also keeps southbound M-3 down to a single lane between East Vernor Highway and the I-75 connector until mid-November.
